# What is ECLASS?

ECLASS is **an international, widely used data standard for the classification of products and services**. It enables product master data to be exchanged digitally across all borders - across industries, countries, languages, and organizations.

ECLASS promotes international interoperability of data exchange in the supply network with a cross-industry product classification systems and standardized interfaces
